IGRA (TB-Feron)

Prince Muhammad Bin Abdulaziz Rd As Sulimaniyah, Riyadh - 145KM

IGRA (TB-Feron) stands for Interferon-Gamma Release Assay. It is a diagnostic test used to detect tuberculosis (TB) infection. The IGRA test measures the release of interferon-gamma, an immune response marker when specific antigens derived from the TB bacteria are introduced to a blood sample.

IGRA is an alternative to the traditional tuberculin skin test (TST), also known as the Mantoux test. It is considered more specific and less affected by previous Bacillus Calmette-Guérin (BCG) vaccination, which can cause false-positive TST results.
